Child Survival Program brings hope

Child Survival Program brings hope

Amsa, like many uneducated tribal women in India is regarded as an outcast. Her husband earns no regular income and so providing food for their six children became a daily struggle. Now Amsa and her youngest daughter, three-year-old Rajathi are enrolled at Cross Child Survival Program (IN-CS4) where Rajathi receives the food she needs and Amsa learns about basic health, hygiene and parenting skills.

Find out more about Amsa's story.

Celebrate Christmas with Compassion

Celebrate Christmas with Compassion

By now you will have received your Compassion Christmas appeal which provides you not only with the chance to give financially, but also to send a message to your sponsored child/ren and connect with their world this Christmas.

Please return your card/s, even if you are unable to give a monetary gift.

Another way you can contribute to the Christmas appeal this year is by purchasing Compassion Christmas cards. Indonesian Compassion sponsored child Tadheus has been commissioned by Compassion to produce a range of six Christmas card designs available in packs of 12. At $19.95 per pack of 12 cards, at least $10 goes directly to our Christmas appeal fund.

Micah Challenge

Micah Challenge

Compassion Australia supports the Micah Challenge, a global Christian campaign uniting Christians together to deepen their connections with the poor and challenge world leaders to follow through on the promises of the Millennium Development Goals. Micah Challenge is working to be a prophetic and powerful voice for and with the poor in communities around the world.

Christians from all backgrounds are encouraged to show God's kindness and justice, as a response to the prophet Micah's words: "Do justice, love kindness, walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

This month Micah Challenge is launching Offering of Letters, an activity asking churches to get involved in addressing poverty by sending letters to Federal MPs.

Be a powerful voice of faith for those whose voices are never heard.
