ENVIZAGE Assists High-profile Aluminium Company
Denford Compact CNC Routers

SimTecT 2009 will be held from Monday 15 to Friday 19 June 2009, at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
ENVIZAGE and CONCENTRIC are exhibiting again at the Simtect Conference (we have been a regular supporter since 2001) and we will be showcasing our latest simulation content for training and marketing. In this case, it will be naval and industrial focused. Examples include an operational maintenance training simulator developed for a high-profile aluminium company, and a virtual showroom for Honda.
What makes them unique is that it is they are created using Dassault Systemes technology: 3DVIA Virtools and 3DVIA MP. Giving them truly Playstation3/Xbox-like reality.
If you want to see how realistic and how immersive digital content has become and how effective it is, come and visit us at the Simtect exhibition hall. Read more...

Dyadem is the world leader in QLM and RLM, empowering companies to manage quality, mitigate risks, reduce quality defects and risks in the manufacturing process, achieve regulatory compliance, plan for business continuity and improve profitability.
Dyadem works with 85% of the Fortune 500 companies and serves the automotive, medical devices, oil and gas, chemical, high tech and electronics, pharmaceutical and aerospace and defence industries. CONCENTRIC has long had a presence across these and other related industries, and regards the Dyadem portfolio as a seamless extension to its existing technology.
The Dyadem suite includes:

PHA-Pro makes it easier to put corporate-wide risk policies and programs into place and aids in the adoption of standards and regulations such as Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, EPA Risk Management Program, and Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH). The open structure allows for customising of templates to a company's specific guidelines for documenting areas such as Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) studies including HAZOP, What If, Checklist, FMEA, Preliminary Hazard Analysis - PrHA, Layer of Protection Analysis - LOPA, Target Safety Integrity Levels Assignment - SIL.

FMEA-Pro is used to conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies in the automotive, electronic, aerospace, defence and general manufacturing industries. It is an all-in-one solution that easily enables corporate-wide quality, risk, and reliability programs based on company or industry standards and guidelines. FMEA-Pro helps to better analyse product designs and manufacturing processes, dramatically shorten study time and prevent failures from happening in the first place. FMEA-Pro supports Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Control Plans, Design Verification Planning and Reporting (DVP&R), Gage Plans, Process Mapping, Process Flow Charts.

A specialised Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) tool to identify potential failures in medical equipment and create prioritised lists of recommendations. FMEA-Med helps medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve quality, productivity, and safety while ensuring compliance with strict regulations and industry standards. It assists organisations with the implementation of company-wide quality, risk, and reliability programs based on regulations and standards.

Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a top-down approach for analysing pre-event failures with systems in development, beginning with the top event (the potential failure), then determining all the ways it can occur. Post-event failures can also be analysed to find the root cause of the failure. FTA-Pro allows compliance with safety and regulatory requirements to reduce design defects, product recalls and production downtime. Methods include: Qualitative System Analysis, Unreliability System Analysis Methods, Importance Measures, Event Failure Modelling, Common Cause Failure Models (CCF). FTA-Pro's point-and-click fault tree development tools reduce the time involved in conducting FTA studies.

Improve the safety and ergonomics of your workplace procedures by conducting a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). RiskSafe performs thorough studies, identifies workplace safety hazards, produces and tracks recommendations, and shares the information with key stakeholders. Includes templates for Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Job Task Analysis (JTA), Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Analysis, Confined Space Analysis, Ergonomics, Machine Safety Analysis, Workplace Risk Assessment, and more. By creating safe work environments, companies can avoid potential litigation, costly insurance and workers' compensation claims.

SVA-Pro is a user-friendly, reliable, flexible, knowledge-based solution which identifies critical assets and potential adversaries in order to eliminate threats and to reduce vulnerability through improved countermeasures. It assists with decision making on security measures to protect employees, the community, the environment, and the entire property. SVA-Pro produces detailed Security Vulnerability Assessments studies, identifies vulnerability risks and produces and tracks recommendations.

The functional nature of SLS prototypes enables validation of products. Glass-filled nylon and un-filled nylon can be used to achieve snap fits, live hinges, high temperature resistance and high structural strength.
SLS is used across a wide range of industries. For example, our Australian Design Award winning customers.
The FCS fin prototype had to endure ocean testing with world champion Kelly Slater. The Cox mower prototype - with working electrics - had to win over an audience of national resellers. 2006, 2007 and 2008 Australian Rally Champions, TRD, relied on SLS for under bonnet ducting, air vents and other parts in the harsh world of forest racing. And, no, not one part broke over the three years! Read more...

Did You Know...
ENVIZAGE Assists High-profile
Aluminium Company
ENVIZAGE is currently assisting a high-profile company in the aluminium industry to produce world-first simulated training content in a potentially risky work environment.
Employees are currently trained in a traditional classroom environment, then they go on site with a "Buddy" to see operations and maintenance performed live. Typically this process takes around 4 - 6 weeks before employees are considered competent. ENVIZAGE was tasked with creating a lifelike 3D interactive training module which was so visually engaging that it would retain the attention of all employees. It would have to demonstrate the consequences of incorrect procedures, and capture corporate IP ensuring that future training programs benefit from experienced operator knowledge long after they have left the company. Denford Compact CNC Routers
for Prototyping, Tool Making and
Low Volume Manufacturing
These were displayed for the first time at Austech 2009. They are brought in to Australia from the UK by Re-Engineering Australia Foundation. REA distributes them to high schools, TAFEs and universities to support its F1 in Schools Technology Challenge. This involves 30,000 high schoolers in a design-manufacture-race competition which is encouraging them to pursue engineering and manufacturing-related careers.
Now REA is making Denford machines available to training centres and industry outside its F1 program. One example in the DENFORD range is the Compact 1000 3-axis CNC Router, with totally enclosed interlocking guard, suitable for all levels of education and training. The table size of 400 x 240mm makes it perfect for in-class environments. The Compact 1000 is ideal for cutting a range of resistant materials such as hard and soft wood, plastic, modelling foam, acrylic and prototyping materials. In addition, the Compact 1000 Pro can cut non-ferrous metals. For even greater performance there is the larger Router 2600 model. And the new PCB Engraver is perfect for circuit boards and engraving objects. Read more...
